OUATTARA SEALS WIN AS SPURS
HUGO LLORIS could not believe how Spurs fans treated sub Davinson Sanchez, who was booed when he came on in the first half then cheered when taken off 13 torrid minutes later.
Dango Ouattara’s injurytime finish delivered a devastating blow to Tottenham’s Champions League hopes, while taking Bournemouth a huge step closer to Premier League safety. The strike came just moments after Sanchez’s replacement, Arnaut Danjuma, appeared to have hit a dramatic point saver at the end of a traumatic afternoon for Sanchez.
There were the usual calls for the head of Daniel Levy, but there was one man Spurs fans wanted out more than the maligned chairman.
The reception Sanchez received as a 36th-minute replacement for Clement Lenglet did little to help his confidence as his poor ball control paved the way for Matias Vina to rob Pedro Porro and dink in his first Premier League goal in the 38th minute.
Then his lacklustre tackle on
Ryan Christie teed up Dominic Solanke for the visitors’ 51stminute second.
Five minutes later Sanchez was hooked to the sort of cheers you would expect if Levy announced he was selling up.
Lloris (right) said: “I feel really bad for him (Sanchez). I’ve never seen this in my career. It started when he came on the pitch.
“He’s been fighting for Spurs for many, many years now.
“The story is sad for the club, fans and the player.”
Interim boss Cristian Stellini insisted replacing Sanchez was purely tactical but he had not yet spoken to the player personally about it. The Italian’s biggest concern was how his after grabbing a 14th through Heung-min league goal of the sea

“We have to continue to go strong and try to keep the ball in their half of the pitch.”
It proved costly as Sanchez’s and Porro’s errors saw the game turned on its head, until the arrival of Danjuma and then Richarlison had Spurs charging forward.
Danjuma was cursing his luck when flagged marginally offside as Richarlison’s scuffed volley looped over Neto’s head and into the net in the 86th minute.
But two minutes later the winger on loan from Villarreal was celebrating after his first-time left-foot shot from the edge of the box flew past a wrong-footed Neto, and was awarded despite Harry Kane standing in an offside position.
Richarlison should have won it in injury time but the Brazilian put a free header from Perisic’s corner wide.
Instead, Cherries sub Ouattara did, as he coolly collected Solanke’s pass, cut inside Pierreemile Hojbjerg and slotted the ball beyond Lloris to spark wild celebrations on the Bournemouth bench.
Cherries manager Gary O’neil said: “I don’t celebrate many goals.
“I think I celebrated two of the three today. Maybe as we get to the end of the season the goals are getting slightly bigger. “Everyone enjoys a last-minute winner, especially with some of the goals we have had late against us this year. So to go from one to three points was big for us.
“Dom did really well for the winner.
“And for Dango to show that composure at his age, for how big a goal it could be, was really impressive.”
