TWO GOOD:

ARISE Jayson Molumby!

The Republic of Ireland international single-handily swung this contest on its head as the batting Baggies claimed a fine comeback win against the shell-shocked 10-man Potters.

Midfielder Molumby’s brilliant second-half brace was just reward for Carlos Corberan’s threadbare squad as they deservedly claimed their first win for a month.

And the victory came the hard way after Scotland international hitman Jacob Brown had fired the hosts into a welcome lead on the halfhour mark.

But Molumby had other ideas and his two goals in 10 magical minutes understandably delighted Spanish boss Corberan.

“I’m really proud of the mentality of my side,” said Corberan, who lost American striker Daryl Dike with an Achilles injury at the end of the first half.

“We faced lot of difficulties with the injury of Dike and we conceded the first goal.

“But you saw our character to come back and get the three points. We played with a lot of heart. Our goals were passion and desire.”

Stoke’s afternoon went from bad to worse when midfielder Ben Pearson was needlessly sent off for a second yellow card in the fifth minute of injury time. That followed a potential seasonending injury to Ben Wilmot.

Potters boss Alex Neil said: “To concede those goals, in the manner we did, was really poor. In the second half we didn’t have enough bravery to get the ball moving.” STOKE: Bonham 6; Hoevrer 6, Wilmot 5 (Jagielka (41) 6), Fox 6, Sterling 6; Pearson 5, Laurent 6; Brown 8, Smallbone 6 (Thompson (74) 6), Campbell 6 (Tymon (74) 6); Gayle 6 (Powell (70) 5) WEST BROM: Palmer 6; Furlong 6, Ajayi 6, Pieters 6, Townsend 6; Molumby 9, Chalobah 7; Wallace 6, Swift 7 (Albrighton (81) 6), Thomas-asante 6; Dike 5 (Grant (45) 6) STAR MAN: Jayson Molumby – The Republic of Ireland midfielder bagged a brilliant brace in a fine comeback win.
