NORWICH fans demanded Stuart Webber’s sacking after in-form Swansea crushed the Canaries’ slim play-off hopes.

Joel Latibeaudiere and Liam Cullen netted before home defender Sam Mccallum saw red and Olivier Ntcham confirmed a sixth win in seven for Swansea.

Furious City fans vented their anger on sporting director Webber, under fire since last season’s disastrous Premier League campaign, as chants of ‘We want Webber out’ and ‘Sack the board’ rang out across Carrow Road.

Canaries boss David Wagner defended Webber, saying: “Everyone should know – even if not everyone likes to hear it – how much Stuart Webber cares about this club. Not one person on the planet cares more.”

Mccallum’s personal nightmare began in the 22nd minute when Cullen got in behind him. Angus Gunn saved with his legs but Latibeaudiere outjumped Andrew Omabamidele to head in Liam Manning’s corner.

Manning created Swansea’s second in the 39th minute, crossing at the second attempt for Cullen to beat Mccallum and nod home.

Last man Mccallum saw red three minutes later when Cullen again got goalside and was toppled by an arm to the back as Gunn rushed out.

And Ntcham burst in between Omobamidele and Max Aarons to score in the 64th minute.

Swans boss Russell Martin, a former Norwich captain, said. “It was a beautiful day. I’m really grateful to the players and proud of them.”
