Campbell still dreaming of becoming a top Hatter

-

ALLAN CAMPBELL is dreaming of playing in the Premier League with Luton next season.

The high-flying Hatters have already guaranteed their Championship play-off berth with games to spare.

But the midfielder has stressed the Kenilworth Road club won’t be taking their foot off the accelerator pedal anytime soon as they look to finish the season in style.

And victory over play-off

rivals Middlesbrough tomorrow night would see them go four points clear in third place with two games left.

“There’s a great feeling in the camp, everyone is playing with a smile on their face,” said Campbell.

“It’s great we’ve secured our play-off place, but we’re not going to slow down, we’re going to keep fighting and try and finish as high as we can this season.”

The Hatters are unbeaten in 11 games and know victory at home to Boro would likely see them playing whoever finishes sixth in the play-off semifinals.

“The dream is to get in the Premier League, it’s every players’ dream to play in the best league in the world and against the best calibre players,” added Campbell.

“We missed out in the play-offs last season, so there’s always been that motivation to go further and get promoted this year.

“That would be a massive achievement for the club, you can tell how much it means to the fans.”

Boro are just a point behind the Hatters in the table and are unbeaten in their last three matches.

Boss Michael Carrick said: “Winning matches is brilliant but seeing players enjoying it and understanding how good they can be gives me great satisfaction.”
