Robins’ pride at Sky Blues

-

MARK ROBINS says he is “proud” of his side’s achievements so far this season, whatever happens in the promotion play-off race.

The Sky Blues boss (above) who takes his side to fellow promotion contenders Middlesbrough tomorrow, said: “Regardless of the outcome, everyone should be proud of what we’ve achieved and that’s the biggest compliment that anyone can have at a football club.

“We talk about rising together and the togetherness of everybody, it makes you stronger collectively and that’s true for us.

“There is a chance we get a point and we get into the play-offs and then potentially we’re three games away from a return to the Premier League, but we have a big game first on Monday.”

Coventry captain Kyle Mcfadzean is expected to feature after returning to the starting line-up in last Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Birmingham.

The 36-year-old defender came off the bench for the last 10 minutes in the previous game against Reading, but hopes to make an impact as the Sky Blues look to seal a play-off spot.

Robins’ men sit in fifth, one point ahead of Millwall with Sunderland, West Brom and Blackburn a further two points behind.

Ben Sheaf (calf) could miss out again, while fellow midfielder Jamie Allen (ankle) made a cameo appearance late on in the last game and is pushing to be involved.

Riley Mcgree (ankle), Paddy Mcnair (head) and Tommy Smith (knock) – all returned from injury for Boro at Rotherham last time out and should keep their place in the squad.

Anfernee Dijksteel is suspended and Marcus Forss (ankle) and Aaron Ramsey (unspecified) remain out.

LUTON boss Rob Edwards is likely to keep the faith with midfield duo Jordan Clark and Luke Berry in his side’s regular-season finale.

Clark and Berry returned to the starting line-up in a 1-1 draw at Blackburn a week ago and should feature again as the play-off bound Hatters look to build on a 13-match unbeaten run. Dan Potts (back) and Fred Onyedinma (muscle) are pushing to make the XI after second-half appearances on their respective returns to action last time out.

Hull defender Alfie Jones (quad) hopes to start again after making a welcome return to replace Sean Mcloughlin (knock). Captain Lewie Coyle is set to make his 100th appearance for the club, while Aaron Connolly (toe) has suffered a setback.
