Jolly Ollie impressed with Eagles’ high-flying Olise

-

OLIVER GLASNER believes everyone knows Michael Olise is “a brilliant player” – and it’s all about whether Palace hang onto the match-winning forward.

Already the Premier League big boys are hovering trying to snatch him away from Selhurst Park.

Glasner said: “I think everyone knows he is a good player. We have also found a very good position for him. He is a brilliant player, a great guy.

“He has the quality to find the right pass. He scores goals. It’s important that we keep the structure. There were a lot of brilliant players today.”

The Austrian was unaware that since replacing Roy Hodgson in February only Manchester City and Arsenal have collected more points. “I wouldn’t have known. It’s the biggest compliment for the players, for the team,” he added.

“We showed today how many chances we can create. In the end we showed what a fantastic team we are, working together to get this victory.”

Palace finished the game with 10 men following a sending off for Naouirou Ahamada. Glasner added: “We defended after the red card with a lot of passion and with a lot of desire.”

Wolves boss Gary O’neil admitted his frustration with the home loss.

He said: “I’m really disappointed, the most I’ve been after that first half. We beat ourselves really.

“Palace gained some good momentum and they have good attacking players who get in dangerous areas and punish us.

“Palace looked a long way ahead of us. We go into summer with that as a harsh reality.”
