St Peter’s Male Voice Choir concert will remember Larry Delaney
IT’S great to see that a concert to remember the late great Larry Delaney is being organised by the St Peter’s Male Voice Choir.
He was a member of the choir for over 30 years prior to his passing in 2016.
St Peter’s say: ‘This concert will celebrate Larry’s pride as a family man, his love of music and his love of Drogheda town and its people. Some of Larry’s favourite songs will be performed by the choir and soloists as he is remembered on his second anniversary.’
Claie Regan will also perform. The event is in the Barbican on May 26th.
A little bit of Bucharest has arrived on West Street with the coming of a new Romanian store. It is situated where Kierans butchers once did their trade. When there are a lot of complaints about buildings needing a lick of paint, there can be no question - this is a colourful addition. Indeed, will it lead to a trend perhaps? Will the Polish shops go red and white and the Lithuanias, yellow, green and red, or perhaps the Irish will respond with green, white and gold, just in time for the Fleadh.
