THE first round of the 12-hole Christ­mas Ham­per spon­sored by Visit Car­ling­ford was staged on Satur­day. Mary McGoey leads the way on 24 pts closely fol­lowed by Cather­ine Woods on 23 pts while Kay McCar­tan lies 2 points adrift on 22 pts. The sec­ond round takes place next Satur­day, Don’t for­get to don your fes­tive gear for the fi­nal pre­sen­ta­tion of our com­pet­i­tive year. There will be a small prize for best dressed. The mid­week 12-hole com­pe­ti­tion is car­ried over.
