Frank and Wal­ters in Oriel

The Frank and Wal­ters are out on the road for a se­ries of in­ti­mate acous­tic gigs in 2019 and are per­form­ing in the Oriel Cen­tre, Dun­dalk Gaol on Satur­day 30th March 2019.

The Frank and Wal­ters orig­i­nally be­came world fa­mous on the ‘90s in­die scene and have pro­duced seven stu­dio al­bums. Re­cently the band cap­tured a whole new au­di­ence when their ‘90’s hit sin­gle ‘After All’ fea­tured on the cult com­edy show ‘The Young Of­fend­ers’ (the in­fa­mous ‘Billy Mur­phy’ bus hi­jack scene). Fol­low­ing a 21 year hia­tus Féile re­turned to Tipperary in Septem­ber for two sold out shows. Acts such as The Stun­ning, The 4 Of Us and of course The Frank and Wal­ters were joined for very spe­cial per­for­mances by the RTE Con­cert Orches­tra which re­sulted in Féile Clas­si­cal - The Live Al­bum which went to Num­ber 2 in the Ir­ish Com­pi­la­tion Charts.

Dur­ing the acous­tic show in the Oriel Cen­tre, Paul of The Frank and Wal­ters will share some of the sto­ries be­hind the songs and anec­dotes from the hippy did­dly crazy world of life in one of Ire­land’s most en­dur­ing bands in­clud­ing re­call­ing sto­ries of Ra­dio­head and Suede sup­port­ing The Frank and Wal­ters on early tours.
