THE lotto is back on tonight after the Christ­mas break, and it is well worth play­ing. You can also pur­chase from a com­mit­tee-mem­ber or play on­line.

Also tonight is the first com­mit­tee meet­ing of the year. A dis­cus­sion will take place on a mo­tion on club foot­ball, which has been for­warded to the County Board for con­sid­er­a­tion this month. All mem­bers are asked to at­tend.

JAN­UARY marks the start of RTE’s Op­er­a­tion Trans­for­ma­tion and as part of the launch Louth Lo­cal Sports Part­ner­ship are look­ing to in­volve lo­cal GAA clubs, so Kilk­er­ley Emmets are host­ing a walk this Satur­day, Jan­uary 12, at 11am on the walk­ing track around the club grounds. For health and safety rea­sons no dogs al­lowed in the grounds or on the walk­ing track.

The GAA Na­tional Club Draw tick­ets are on sale. Prizes in­clude hol­i­days, car, All Ire­land Fi­nal tick­ets, vouch­ers. All pro­ceeds from sales go to club funds. Tick­ets on sale from any com­mit­tee mem­ber. Priced €10. Mem­ber­ship fees for 2019 are now due and can be sub­mit­ted at a reg­is­tra­tion night in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Fri­day, Jan­uary 25, from 7.30pm.


THE club will hold a com­mit­tee meet­ing on Wed­nes­day 16th Jan­uary at 7pm in the pheas­ant func­tion room all del­e­gates and play­ers are re­quested to at­tend.

The lucky win­ner of our €50 club lot­tery bonus ball draw last week was Deb­o­rah Mul­lan. Well done to young club­man Nathan Far­relly on win­ning our ju­ve­nile top ace score com­pe­ti­tion last week with a fan­tas­tic top score of 15 aces.

Club mem­ber­ship is now due adult fees €40, ju­ve­nile fees €10 Mem­ber­ship forms are avail­able at Coke hall re­cep­tion and also from our club sec­re­tary.

We are seek­ing new mem­bers at the club if you are up for the chal­lenge of play­ing hand­ball or would like to play to keep fit come along and regis­ter at coke hall re­cep­tion.

The Le­in­ster GAA Hand­ball con­ven­tion takes place next Sun­day 13th Jan­uary at the Court­yard ho­tel Lexlip Co Kil­dare.
