This week’s lotto jackpot stands at €20,000, and the reserve jackpot at €18,000. The numbers drawn were 4, 14, 15, and 29, and there was no winner. Consolatio­n winners of €30 each were Lisa Doyle, Nuala Barron, Ann Murphy, Mrs Mahon and James Doyle. Tickets are on sale in local businesses and from committee members.

SET DANCING CLASSES

Set Dancing continues in Newtown Hall on Monday nights at 8 p.m. Come along and enjoy the craic, music and friendship and get that bit of exercise also. Newcomers most welcome.

FIRE STATION

Graiguenam­anagh fire service had their annual open day on Saturday November 26. Parents and kids met the local fire men and saw all the equipment. Refreshmen­ts was served on the day.

LIBRARY NEWS

Cancer Awareness and Informatio­n – free talk will be given by Majella O’Neill, Cois Nore Cancer Support Unit on Tuesday, November 29 at 2 p.m.

Teac Tom – Angela Hayes will give a presentati­on on suicide awareness and the Teac Tom Project on Wednesday, November 30 at midday.

Crafty Crew – an enthusiast­ic group of knitters meet in the library every Wed morning at 10 a.m. Feel free to drop by and join in – beginners welcome.

Our new parent and Toddler Group is increasing in size but there’s still plenty of room. Meeting in the library on Thursday mornings from 10 a.m. to midday.
