INISTIOGE SHOP

Inistioge has its own shop again for some weeks now and what a relief it is to finally see the doors open once again. Best of luck for the future to Paidi Barron, former owner and welcome to Ram and Sinéad Hooda and the very best of luck in their new venture. The shop is opened from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Friday and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

The shop will also be the new home for the post office, it is hoped that it will be up and running in the next 4-6 weeks. Plans are also afoot to open a chipper/ take away in the other half of the shop very soon. The shop can be contacted at 056 7758789.

SINCERE SYMPATHIES

Sincere sympathies are extended to the family and many friends of James (Jimmy) Ó Donnell, Ó Donnells Pub, Inistioge, who was laid to rest on Monday last. James was a gentle soul and a cornerstone of the community, nearly always there, behind the bar and he always had a way of making you smile.

In his younger days James was a very accomplished and successful boxer. He was also a great soccer player, and many is the match that was played right there on the street outside his beloved home. His passing is a great loss for the community and for those who visit our area. May he Rest In Peace.
