This week’s lotto jackpot stands at €20,000, and the reserve jackpot at €20,000. The numbers drawn were 3, 9, 17 and 32, and there was no winner. FLEADH CHEOIL

The annual Fleadh Choil Cheatharla­ch will take place from April 7 to April 9 and this year Borris is hosting the festival. Come and take part in various event, including concerts competitio­ns and session trails. for further details please contact fleadh2017@ gmail.com.

PARADE

The annual Graiguenam­anagh’s St Patrick’s Day parade took Place on Friday last, March 17, and there was big attendance, with the usual amounts of floats led by a marching band from Germany and the local Graigueman­agh Brass Band entertaine­d during the parade outside the Duisk Inn. Well done to everyone involved.

LIBRARY NEWS

The library will re-open on Tuesday the 21st at 10 a.m. Please note that we will also be closed on Wednesday, March 22, for staff training. Apologies for any inconvenie­nce caused.

Mothers Day crafts with Helen will take place in the library on Tuesday and Thursday, March 21 and 23, at 3.30 p.m. Limited places, booking essential phone 056 7794178.

Our annual coffee morning for daffodil day, will take place in the library on Friday, March 24, from 10.30 a.m. to midday Donation of cakes, buns etc would be greatly appreciate­d.

NEW LIGHTS

Local Cllr Peter Chap Cleere has welcomed the news that there will be three additional lights installed this year from the soccer pitch in Graig up towards Calvary cemetery. Chap secured the funding as part of the 2017 roadworks programme. This follows on from the recent installati­on of three public lights from the petrol station to the entrance of Friars Hill. Chap says this is a very welcome developmen­t and will be a big addition to the area.
