LADIES’ FOOTBALL

Well done to our ladies intermediate team who made the long journey to Kilanerin last Tuesday evening and came home with a 4: 16 to 10pt win. This puts the girls on top of the table and into a county semi-final where they will play the winners of Kilanerin and Fethard.

Hard luck to our minors, Mogue O’Rahillys, who were beaten by Castletown in the shield semi-final on Thursday evening and also hard luck to our under-14 girls who were beaten by a very strong Adamstown team in their quarter final. The future is very promising for this group of girls who played very good football during the year.

The under-12s are due to play their shield quarter final the first week in August and are still training very hard for this game and are really improving with every game they play.

The under-10s are still in the league stages and have a few games still remaining while the under-eights gave a great display of football against the under-seven boys last Monday evening and came away with another great win.

The club would like to wish Anna Dillon a speedy recovery and hopefully it won’t be to long before she is back on the field.

Wexford Ladies’ Football are holding a race night next Friday evening at the Wexford race course starting at 5.30 p.m. If anyone is interested in a ticket at a reduced cost of €10 please contact any committee member.
