Local Community Workshop fundraiser is a great success
A woman from Foulksmills has opened up her home to the public for a second time to raise money for the County Wexford Community Workshop (CLG Enniscorthy).
Mary Teresa Redmond, who lives in Mill View, decided to open her home up again, following a very successful similar event last year. The social evening styled fundraiser attracted a very large crowd from within the local community to her home.
The initiative was held on Saturday, June 30, and Ms Redmond was delighted with the number of people who turned up. The fact the weather was fantastic added to the appeal of the event and made it very enjoyable for those in attendance.
In addition to being able to avail of light refreshments those present were also treated to some great family-based activities with face-painting being particularly popular with the younger people present.
It was a real community event and there was a lovely positive vibe about the entire thing and due to its success last year and, again this time around, it looks like becoming one of the most popular regular fixtures on the local social calendar.
