No qualified driver in van

DRIVING a 171 registered white Ford Transit without a qualified driver led to a conviction marked against Edward Berry (21) of 7 Raheen, Rosbercon, New Ross.

The accused motorist attended Wexford District Court where a plea of guilty was entered by his solicitor Lana Doherty.

She told the judge that her client was unemployed and that he had applied for social welfare.

A fine of €150 was handed down to Berry.
