CELEBRATION OF ADULT EDUCATION
A CELEBRATION of adult learning took place in New Ross when graduates from courses run in the New Ross Adult Education Centre were presented with QQI awards.
The learners received awards for various modules and disciplines including computers, communications, English for speakers of other languages, food and health.
A spokesperson for the NRAEC said the event had ‘a wonderfully ‘diverse, fun and inter-cultural flavour’ with learners bringing some of their own cooking traditions and flair to the proceedings – much to the delight of all those in attendance.
Speaking at the event, programme manager Don Murphy complimented the recipients for the dedication and commitment they demonstrated while pursuing their studies.
