€500,000 for Min Ryan Park
HALF a million Euro in funding has been secured for Min Ryan Park in Wexford.
The funding of €500,000, allocated under the Government’s Outdoor Recreation Scheme, will be used to develop the 18 acre municipal park at Killeens. One of 18 projects nationwide benefitting from the scheme, Min Ryan Park includes a one kilometre circulation track for walking and cycling.
Approximately €30 million has now been allocated to over 500 projects under the national scheme since 2016 to improve walking trails, greenways and other recreational amenities.
Minister Paul Kehoe said the park development, in conjunction with Wexford County Council, will provide a major tourism boost.
‘It will help revitalise Wexford and will provide a major tourism boost.’
