Rath­garogue NS par­ents’ as­so­ci­a­tion are hold­ing a Fundrais­ing Cloth­ing Col­lec­tion, so now is the time to do a pre-Christ­mas de-clut­ter. Col­lec­tion times are Thurs­day, De­cem­ber 6, 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Fri­day, De­cem­ber 7, 8.30.10 a.m. at Rath­garogue Com­mu­nity Hall.

Rath­garogue-Cushin­stown camo­gie and Ladies’ Foot­ball Club AGM will take place on Fri­day, De­cem­ber 7, at 7.30 p.m. in the club­house. All play­ers and paid up mem­bers are re­quested to come along on the night to re­view our year and put plans in place for 2019. All par­ents and those in­ter­ested in be­com­ing in­volved in our club with our girls are most wel­come.

The Rath­garogue-Cushin­stown GAA AGM will take place on Sun­day, De­cem­ber [email protected] 4 p.m. in the club­house. All paid up mem­bers are in­vited to at­tend and re­view our suc­cess­ful year and plan for 2019.


The Terrerath com­mu­nity an­nual Christ­mas party will be held on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 2, with en­ter­tain­ment and mu­sic for the evening. Bingo ev­ery Wed­nes­day night at 8 p.m., we would ap­pre­ci­ate all sup­port and all are wel­come. Ev­ery Mon­day night, our new yoga classes have com­menced in the com­mu­nity cen­tre from 7.30-8.30. Open to both male and fe­male. Fri­day nights – Ir­ish danc­ing, and Thurs­days – Slim­ming World. The lo­cal soc­cer club also has train­ing ses­sions from five years up­wards. The Hall Com­mit­tee ap­pre­ci­ate ev­ery­one us­ing the fa­cil­i­ties and help the up­keep of the hall.

The par­ish se­nior cit­i­zens’ Christ­mas party is sched­uled to take place in Tir an nOg in Wellingtonbridge on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 9, at 2 p.m. Any­one in­ter­ested in at­tend­ing is urged to con­tact a mem­ber of the Gusser­ane church coun­cil to con­firm at­ten­dance.


There will be a Christ­mas Lights Road Run on De­cem­ber 9. Regis­tra­tion is at 4 p.m. and it starts in Campile. It will travel through the vil­lages of Dun­main, Bal­ly­cul­lane, Saltsmills, Fethard-on-Sea, Tem­ple­ton, Rams­grange, Dun­can­non and fin­ish in Arthurstown with hot food served com­pli­ments of the Kings Bay Inn, Arthurstown. Larry Larkin, Bren­dan Colfer and Alice Gaffney were the win­ners of the cards in St Leonards hall last week. Sec­ond prize went to, Wil­lie White, Luke Power and Dave Walsh. Nick Doyle, Seán Colfer and Johnny Flynn took third prize and Billy Shannon, Peter Stafford and Pat Mur­ray were the last game draw win­ners. The raf­fle win­ners were Jimmy Cullen, Seán Diskin, Seán O’Frady and Michael Ke­hoe. The cards con­tinue ev­ery Satur­day night at 8.30 p.m. Your sup­port would be greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.


Sin­cere sym­pa­thy is ex­tended to Una Barn­well, Ballinruane on the death of her sis­ter El­lie Barn­well, Cool­cliff, who passed away re­cently. May Her Gen­tle Soul rest in peace.


St Louis Day Care Cen­tre are hold­ing a Christ­mas Bak­ery Fair on this Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8, be­tween 9 a.m. to mid­day in the cen­tre in Rams­grange. There was no jack­pot win­ner in the Tin­tern lotto draw last week. Two peo­ple matched three num­bers and each reeived €200. They were; Mau­reen White, Clon­mines and A Kerin, Salt­mills. The num­bers drawn were 13, 15, 18 and 23. Next week’s jack­pot willbe €4,700 and next week’s match thre win­ners will share €200. Tick­ets on sale in all lo­cal shops and pubs and from com­mit­tee mem­bers.


This year’s Se­nior Citzens Christ­mas party will be held in Tír na nÓg, Wellingtonbridge on Sun­day next, De­cem­ber 9, at two o’clock. Those from the St Leonards Par­ish area wish­ing to at­tend can con­tact, Mar­garet, Kay or Es­ther if you wish to at­tend.


The par­ish mag­a­zine ‘Tin­tern Re­view’ is on sale in all lo­cal shops. The mag­a­zine is once again full of many stories and pho­to­graphs of lo­cal in­ter­est again this year. The comit­tee would like to sin­cerely thank ev­ery­one who con­trib­uted to the mag­a­zine.
