Com­mu­ni­ty­hub ini­tia­tiveis­launched in­BankofIre­land

THE Bank of Ire­land branch on the quay in Wex­ford has launched a new com­mu­nity hub ini­tia­tive specif­i­cally aimed at en­hanc­ing the branch’s over­all lo­cal role.

The launch comes in the wake of ma­jor re­fur­bish­ment work tak­ing place at the premises.

A sig­nif­i­cant as­pect of the new de­vel­op­ment is that an events room has been added to the branch which will be avail­able to lo­cal clubs, char­i­ties, so­ci­eties and busi­ness or­gan­i­sa­tions to host meet­ings and events free-of-charge.

The space can cater for up to 50 peo­ple and has sta­teof-the-art tech­nol­ogy fa­cil­i­ties that can be used for a wide va­ri­ety of pre­sen­ta­tions.

Com­ment­ing on the new hub the Head of Bank of Ire­land, Wex­ford, JJ Keyes, said the new events room is part of the or­gan­i­sa­tion’s over­all aim to in­tro­duce prod­ucts and ser­vices in keep­ing with chang­ing wishes of cus­tomers in how they want to bank.

‘With more than 250 branches na­tion­wide we are proud to have the largest branch net­work of any bank in Ire­land,’ said Mr Keyes.

‘We are de­lighted to be able to pro­vide the peo­ple of Wex­ford town with this new fa­cil­ity to en­able them to host meet­ings and events,’ he added.
