PARISH NOTES

Saturday night Mass in Newbawn at 7.45 p.m. Sunday morning Mass in Newbawn at 11 a.m. Morning Mass in Newbawn on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in Newbawn church every Tuesday morning between 10 a.m. and midday. Sunday, January 13, is the feast of the baptism of Our Lord, Thursday the 17th is the feast of St Anthony. Monday, January 21, is the feast of St Agnes.

WINNER ALRIGHT

Congratulations and well done to Angela Looby of Tinnecarrig Newbawn, who was the lucky winner of the special Christmas time split-the-pot that took place in a packed Foleys pub on Thursday, December 27. The winner received in excess of €800 with a similar amount being equally divided towards the upkeep of the sportsground and parish funding.

The next draw takes place in Foleys next Thursday night at 9.30 p.m. when another lucky winner’s name will be pulled from the drum.
