Youth facilities boost for area

YOUTH GROUPS in New Ross have been successful in securing funding to undertake a feasbility study to identify needs, gaps and make recommendations on facilities within the town.

District manager Sinead Casey said a number of youth groups have come together supported by the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2018 – 2022 , Wexford Local Development and Wexford County Council and have secured funding through LEADER.

‘A consultant has been appointed following a tender process to produce the feasiblity report that is necessary to secure further funding through future grant streams,’ Ms Casey said.
