Ramps needed in Churchtown

A call for ramps at Churchtown to make the area safer for residents is being considered by council officials.

Cllr Martin Murphy made the call at the municipal council meeting, saying: ‘All the different things that can be done have been done at Churchtown. They are looking for ramps. We were satisfied that road grants weren’t warranted because of the design of the village as it’s very narrow down there. We have to factor a way of putting in ramps as there is a great sense of urgency.’
