RECENT DEATHS

Two well known ladies with close Newbawn connection­s passed away last week. Margaret (Peggie) O’Sullivan Newcastle Newbawn (née O’Neill) was interred in Clongeen cemetery on Tuesday after requim Mass in the nearby church. She died the previous Sunday after a recent illness. She is survived by her sons and sisters, grandchild­ren, and many other relatives and friends to whom sincere sympathhy is extended.

Mary Mackey, Enniscorth­y and formerly Mary Howlett of Tinnecarri­g, Newbawn passed to her eternal rest last Thursday morning in Knockeen nursing home, having been ill for some time. Sympathy is extended to her brothers and sisters and all of her many other relatives and friends. She was interred in Enniscorth­y on Saturday following requiem Mass at midday in the nearby church. May they rest in peace.
