Dubs destroyed in one-sided contest

-

THE ONE hundred per cent record of new Wexford Senior camogie manager J.J. Doyle continued at a sunny Wexford Park on May 23, 2010, when his team sauntered past Dublin in the Leinster championship semi-final on a 3-20 to 0-7 scoreline.

The writing was on the wall after a mere ten minutes, with the home side coasting into a commanding 0-5 to nil lead.

And the opening goal arrived early in the second quarter, with a Deirdre Codd clearance finding Ursula Jacob who handpassed to the net.

The scorer then turned provider, picking out club colleague Una Leacy as Wexford went on to lead by 2-9 to 0-2 at half-time.

Katrina Parrock crashed a shot against the angle of post and crossbar shortly after the interval, but she had better luck before the finish.

A blistering run down the right by substitute Lenny Holohan helped to produce the final goal as Parrock hauled in her crossfield ball and blasted to the roof of the net to complete a successful outing.
