A two-year driving ban was handed down by Judge Brian O’Shea to Joanne Murphy, 11 Willow Park, New Ross, on conviction for a motor insurance offence.

The District Court learned on Tuesday, May 19, that Ms Murphy was found to be on the road without cover at Harristown Big, Taghmon, on the morning in question.

Ms Murphy entered a plea of guilty and told the judge that she was in employment, adding that she had since taken out a driving licence. She was fined €200.
