NEW CHURCH RULES – As we prepare to return to a ‘new’ normal, and in keeping with Government regulations, please be mindful of the following at ‘Our Lady’ Star of the Sea Church, Duncannon.
As the dispensation from the Sunday and Holy day obligation has been extended, people with underlying medical conditions are encouraged NOT to attend Church Services for the time being.
Holy Water Fonts are not in use. Observe social distancing and remain two meters from other people (except members of the same household). Wash your hands with soap and water before you leave home. Use the hand sanitiser provided as you enter and leave the church.
Follow the one-way system. Only use every second pew starting from the first pew at the back. Feel free to wear a face mask and gloves. Do not touch any statues. Do not shake hands. Cover your mouth if coughing and use a tissue if sneezing. Do not, under any circumstances, discard any face masks, gloves, tissues etc., in or around the church, cemetery or car parking area.
For reception of Holy Communion stand at a distance from the priest and extend you hand.
