Cumas team wins Active Disability Services award
CUMAS New Ross has won the national award in the Active Disability Services Awards for best physical activity initiative 2023.
This accolade is bestowed upon services who exemplify outstanding commitment and dedication to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle within their services and communities and was received by individuals and staff of Cumas at a ceremony held in Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise on Friday, March 22.
Based at Butlersland, New Ross, Cumas is a leading advocate for health and wellness. The organisation recipient has made significant contributions to the health and fitness landscape through the tireless efforts of its committed team to support initiatives like the Dunbrody Warriors Tag Rugby Team, Integrate Performing Arts Group, Celtic Warriors Football team, yoga, table tennis, Striders and Strollers walking group and the very popular Active Healthy Me programme.
Cumas also supports nutritious eating habits, the creation of engaging fitness programs, as well as involvement in local community sports and wellness groups.
