PARENT & TODDLER GROUP

A great morning for our Easter Egg Hunt at Tintern Abbey last Tuesday morning. A big thank you to the Easter Bunny for joining in the fun. Our Parent and Toddler Group meets at South West Wexford Family Resource Centre every Tuesday morning from 10am to 12 noon and all are welcome.

TOURISM WITH BUSINESS COURSE

Well done to our learners who have been working hard in two modules -Tourism Principals & Practices and Customer Services. We wish them all the best of luck in their exams and presentati­ons. They are now looking forward to starting Work Experience and Appreciati­on of Irish Culture next month.

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

GROW mental health peer support group meet every Monday in South West Wexford Family Resource Centre (Y34 DP26), from 7-9pm. If you would like to talk to others who have experience­d mental health challenges, in a non-judgementa­l, welcoming space, where you can freely express yourself, come along, and see if Grow is for you.

RAMSGRANGE HORTICULTU­RAL SOCIETY

We are looking for interested people to take part in a new gardening course. In this course you will learn about growing food crops, herbs, bedding plants, etc.

You will be shown how to prepare your garden for planting and how to maintain it throughout the growing season. Different ways of propagatio­n -i.e. seed sowing, taking cuttings and division of plants will be explained, and how and when to harvest your crops.

The course will be run throughout April, May, and June at the tunnel beside South West Wexford Family Resource Centre (Y34 DP26) To book a place, please call Rena on 086 8621346.

ST LOUIS DAY CARE

St Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange would be delighted if more people in our Community would like to avail of the services we offer.

Why not give yourself a day out to meet with friends, old and new, join in activities, or learn new ones, bingo, singing, dancing, art, cards, but to name a few while enjoying delicious freshly prepared meals from our kitchen. Our cook is here to assist with special dietary requiremen­ts. Our nurse is on hand to deal with any minor medical issues.

The services provided include bus collection, laundry, bakery, GP clinic, chiropody, hairdressi­ng, assisted showering, Meals on Wheels Monday to Friday. We like to think of St Louis Day Care Centre as a home away from home where you will be warmly welcomed.

DEMENTIA CAFÉ

Wexford Dementia Café is held at at St Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange Y34H283 on the second Thursday of every month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Next date is Thursday 11th April.

Guest Speaker on Thursday 11th is Deirdre Barker, carer to her husband, Edward. The Presentati­on Title is ‘ Love, Care and the magic ingredient Creativity.’

The Café provides a warm and welcoming space for people with dementia, their family and friends, social and health care profession­als to meet, exchange ideas and learning.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT GROUP

The next monthly meeting will be held on Monday April 8th in South West Wexford Resource Centre at 2pm. The Annual Subscripti­on €20 is due for payment if not already done so.

KILLANNE DEVELOPMEN­T GROUP

On Saturday 6th April we will have Killanne’s Spring Clean, meet at Killanne Hall at 3pm, equipment will be provided. Return to the hall at 4.30 for Refreshmen­ts & Entertainm­ent. All are Welcome!

We hope to see an improvemen­t in the weather shortly and with that Killanne Developmen­t Group would be delighted with some extra volunteers to help out with the upkeep of the village. There was no Jackpot winner in the Tintern Lotto draw last week. Catherine Rossiter, Gusserane, Mary Cullen, Garryculle­n and Joy Whelan, Ballyculla­ne matched three numbers and each received €70. TULLOGHERR­OSBERCON CLOTHING COLLECTION

The Tullogher Camogie Club are having a Clothing Collection to raise funds over the coming weeks. If you have any re-wearable clothing items, paired shoes. handbags etc, all of these items will be gratefully accepted. Please deliver them to the GAA Club House in Brownstown on Wednesday the 8th of April at 6-30 P.M. or on Saturday 13th April at 11-30 A.M. ST JOSEPH’S ATHLETIC CLUB

The Club’s “Split the Pot” winners for March were, 7th, Tom Kirwan, Glenmore €150 and on the 21st of March Eleanor Ryan from Listerlin won €130. Next draw takes place on Thursday, 4th of April.

WEDDING BELLS

Many congratula­tions to Fiona Hartley from Brabstown who married Adam Hannigan from Letterkenn­y, Co Donegal on the 23rd of March. The pretty ceremony took place in St David’s Church Listerlin and their families and friends wish the couple every blessing in their future life together.

OSSORY PASTORAL COUNCIL

Bishop Niall Coll has put together a new Pastoral Council for the Diocese of Ossory. The new board consists of, Bishop Niall Coll, Fr Dan Carroll, Fr Martin Delaney, Fr Dan Bollard, Mrs Ann Daly, Mrs Sarah Rice, Mrs Brid Duffy, Mr Diarmuid Healy, Mr John Shortall, Mrs Gemma Mulligan and Sr Helen Maher.

DEVELOPMEN­T DRAW

The winners in the Tullogher/ Rosbercon GAA Club Developmen­t Draw for March saw Dodie Walsh from Brownstown take first prize. John& Margaret Mullally from Ballyeden took second and Martin Kennedy from Ballykenna picked up third prize. Other winners were, Michael Grennan, Ballyreddy, Seamus Hartley, Brabstown, Joe Murphy, Ballyneale, and Mary Grennan, Ballycurra­n. The April Draw will take place in the Club House on Tuesday April 30th at 8-30 P.M.

VINTAGE CLUB

The Tullogher/Rosbercon Vintage Club will hold their Vintage Day and Field Day on Sunday April 21st in Rosbercon Parish Centre. This is always a great family day out and the organisers are hoping for a spell of good weather.

TROCAIRE 2024

All Trocaire boxes should be returned as soon as possible, either to the Parochial House or in the box at the rear of the church. It is hoped to forward all contributi­ons to the Diocese Office in early May. Many thanks for helping the poorest of the poor in all parts of the world.
