dettori’s delight as enable trains on
RACING fans are still celebrating the news that brilliant Arc winner Enable will stay in training next season. Frankie Dettori described her as the “filly of a lifetime” after she won the big race at Chantilly like one of the greats. That was on top of a season where the Irish and Yorkshire Oaks were safely tucked away along with a trouncing of the colts in the King George at Ascot. A statement issued by owner Prince Khalid Abdullah’s Juddmonte Farms read: “Enable will stay in training for 2018. “Her racing programme will be decided in the New Year, but the defence of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe will be high in consideration.” Dettori, along with trainer John Gosden, have the most to be happy about. The Italian said: “I’m very pleased and grateful to Prince Khalid for keeping her in training because, to me, she is a filly of a lifetime. “What she has achieved this year has been nothing short of sensational. I’m looking forward to having her back next year so we can have another crack at going for the Arc and all the other big races.”
