More horses that have caught the experts eye

TWO SHOE TOM (5yo)

Trainer: P Fahey Last Run: 3rd February - Leopardstown The mares National Hunt flat race at the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown was far from the pinnacle of the two day meeting but the fifth placed finishing five-year-old may be one to keep onside. Yes, finishing fifth of eight is hardly the most impressive performance, but prior to that she had finished second on three consecutive occasions all behind horses that look rather promising. A step up to Grade 2 company perhaps was too much of a leap but if she drops into lower grade company expect a better outcome. Race Distance: 2m - 2m2f Ground Type: Any

JUMIRA BRIDGE (5yo)

Trainer: R Cowell Last Run: 24th January - Southwell At his peak this gelding competed in Group 3 company last year but is far from that level now. Sadly failing to impress in a Class 3 handicap at Southwell in January won’t go down as one of his crowning moments but a horse who’s displayed great ability on his day can be forgiven one poor run and I’m convinced better is likely to be just around the corner. Perhaps the unique conditions of Southwell weren’t to his liking and at an alternative course is likely to do much better. Race Distance: 5f - 7f Ground Type: Any

SHES THE DREAM (6yo)

Trainer: L Williamson Last Run: 31st January - Southwell With a staggering four runs in January alone the six-year-old mare has been highly tried. Very disappointing in all four starts so hardly sticks out as one to pop in the notebook but as she plummets down the weights it’s worth noting that she now resides off a handicap mark much lower than when she put in two placed efforts at Wolverhampton in November and December. If the horse has been held back for a few runs she now has weight in her favour for a bold bid. Race Distance: 5f - 6f Ground Type: Any

SAM’S ADVENTURE (7yo)

Trainer: B Ellison Last Run: 29th January - Newcastle After a very promising second place at Ayr just nine days earlier Sam’s Adventure looked set to go close in a novice hurdle contest in the North East. He finished fourth but it was far from lacklustre and he travelled nicely throughout until entering the final couple of furlongs. I can easily overlook that run and put it down to one of two things. Either the step up in trip to 2m6f didn’t suit or a quick turn around after just nine days wasn’t enough time between races. Either way it would be unwise to discount him so readily. Race Distance: 2m - 2m5f Ground Type: Good or Softer
