Racing Ahead

25 years of success - and more to come

Fabulous anniversary party for all the owners

-

In August 2021, Group winning syndicate Heart of the South Racing celebrated 25 years since their first winner with a summer BBQ at their small stud with over 120 HOTSR owners! How fantastic it was to get everyone together again!

This successful syndicate was founded by John Penny in 1995 and a year later Captain Coe, trained by the late Roger Curtis, jumped to success at Ludlow with his first triumphant win. Fast forward 25 years, HOTSR is now managed by John’s daughter Eloise Adamski alongside Sam Bridle and the duo provide a first-class service to both owners and horses. The pair currently oversee 14 syndicates, four solely owned horses and a breeding syndicate with four-time winning mare RUBY YEATS too! Horses are in training with Gary Moore, Oliver Sherwood, David Menuisier and Marco Botti.

Their recent 25-year Anniversary celebration was a huge success and owners enjoyed delicious food and great company, with many new friendships forged amongst like-minded racing enthusiasts. The day also included the distribution of all the latest winning mementos, a demonstration with ex-racehorse Royal Battalion, a talk on the conformation of a racehorse and a parade with their new foal who will be syndicated in 2022.

It was a fantastic occasion which reflected on the past 25 years while sharing lots of favourite memories.

The team at HOTSR are confident many more memories will be made this winter as a host of their up-andcoming National Hunt horses begin to make their mark. They are also currently attending all the big sales looking to expand their Flat string for 2022.

You could be part of this friendly, fun syndicate where the emphasis is on finding, keeping and loving good horses and, of course, enjoying the rollercoaster ownership journey!
