Good Omens (Amazon/BBC Two)
Late last year, I saw a few clips from this mammoth six-part adaptation of the cult novel co-authored by Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett. It looked big, bizarre and bewitching with David Tennant as a hipster demon and Michael Sheen as a pouting angel who have been in an unlikely bromance for the past 6,000 years. But with the apocalypse imminent that is set to fall apart, they plan to sabotage the end of the world. The cast is epic and eccentric with Jon Hamm as the archangel Gabriel, Derek Jacobi as the voice of God and Frances McDormand as God herself. Miranda Richardson has a scene stealing turn as a psychic. It could be heaven or hell.
