In Emmerdale, Megan Macey is going through a relationship crisis at the moment. The actress who plays Megan, Gaynor Faye, tells us about the dilemma her character is facing
Megan has feelings for both Graham and Frank, but where do you think her heart truly lies?
Well, Graham is very intriguing, a man of mystery and Megan nds him very enigmatic. She likes the danger and excitement of being with him and I think he reminds her very much of her brother Declan. On the other hand, Frank is a loveable rogue and he comes with a readymade family. He’s fun and easy to be with. He idolises her and at this stage, Megan really wants a family and to be part of a family.
What goes through Megan’s head when she discovers she could be pregnant?
She is terri ed. You get to a point in life when you just don’t expect this to happen. She obviously wasn’t careful, but it’s the worst thing that could happen to her because she thinks she could have gotten away with this a air with Graham.
Remind us of the scene when her pregnancy is announced…
Well, it’s Graham who tells her that Frank has found the pregnancy test. Since Frank can’t have any more children, she knows how this will seem to him. And of course Graham is wondering if it is him and this whole conversation is happening in a public place. It’s simply awful for her.
Why on earth does she kiss Graham again, and possibly restart their a air?
ere is de nitely chemistry between herself and Graham and while she doesn’t want to be unfaithful there is un nished business. And it started because of a misunderstanding when she thought, wrongly, that Frank had been unfaithful.
How does Megan feel when she realises that her enemy, Charity, knows her secret?
Well, considering that Frank and Charity had an a air, Megan knows that Charity’s not going to keep her secret. She is a ticking time bomb and it’s only a matter of time.
Frank is a former con-artist and Graham is ex-military; if they ght for Megan’s a ections, who do you think would win?
Well, I think Graham is much more dangerous than Frank. I think Frank is an old-fashioned conman but wouldn’t do anything to deliberately hurt someone he cared about. All I will say is that there are episodes to come which will show a much darker side to Graham. erefore, I would put my bet on Graham winning that battle.
Who do you think Megan should pick?
is is the dilemma. But for longevity, it would de nitely be Frank. ey would happily grow old together and he would be there for her, but for excitement, and the thrill of passion, I think it would be Graham so it just depends on what she wants out of life. ere are lovely scenes to come where these issues are addressed. So fans will have to stay watching!
