Poor Kat is feeling weighed down by what she knows and visits Charlie’s old haunt where she meets ex-cabbie Tony. ey immediatel­y get o on the wrong foot but when he learns that she’s Charlie’s daughter, the pair fondly remember the past. ey head to a pub and they bump into one of Charlie’s old friends, Maurice, but Kat feels uncomforta­ble. When Tony leaves, Kat confronts Maurice who drops a disturbing bombshell. Kat makes a beeline to leave but as she drives onto the Square, she knocks down an elderly man and falls o her moped, blacking out. She regains consciousn­ess but when she realises she has hit someone, she leaves in a panic. Hayley quizzes her about what happened but she brushes it o . Later Stacey and Hayley nd a frazzled Kat drinking at the E20 and when Kat throws a strop, Stacey issues some stern words. She returns home and collapses in a t of tears.

Ruby tells Martin that Ross and Matt have both been charged. Martin does his best to be there for Ruby but he is feeling on edge. Later, Ruby sees the Gazette’s front page reporting the sexual assault, and although she isn’t named, she freaks out and rushes home. ings deteriorat­e when Ruby goes online and sees that people doubt her side of the story. As Martin lls Stacey in on Ruby’s news, he receives a message from Ross wanting to meet. Later, Ruby and Stacey head to e Vic, not realising that Martin is there with Ross and Matt. Stacey is fuming when she sees Martin socialisin­g with Ruby’s attackers, making it clear to everyone that they are the men involved in the sexual assault. Glenn arrives and sticks up for his friends but Ruby lays into him, exposing herself as the woman at the centre of the case.

Jean goes all out to make Hayley’s birthday special and gives her a card. She doesn’t get the reaction she was looking for and secretly plans a surprise birthday party for her. She puts a plan into place but Hayley is horri ed and scarpers. Jean talks to Kat and realises how much she is missing her boys and the doorbell rings… who could it be? Elsewhere, a scheming Mel contacts Ray’s other wife, Maddie, under the pretence of starting personal training sessions with her. Mel uses her rst session to gently pick her brain and later invites her to e Vic where the drinks ow. Will she nd out what she needs?
