Suede, Sky Arts & NOW TV Surely the coolest Brit-band of the 1990s, Brett Anderson and co. provided a bit of glam in contrast to Oasis, Blur or Pulp. This show explores the defining moments in the band’s life, followed by a memorable one-off reunion concert at London’s Albert Hall in 2010.

Strictly Come Dancing, BBC One After their trip to Blackpool last week, the seven remaining couples are back in the Strictly studio, where they all take to the dancefloor together for a Lindy-HopA-Thon. After judging, the two lowest scoring couples will fight for their right to stay in the Sunday evening dance-off.

A new series recorded live at TradFest in Dublin, with this first episode featuring Téada with West Kerry’s seanachaí Séamus Begley, the celebrated duo of Máire Ní Chathasaig­h and Chris Newman, Mick O’Brien, Ciara Ní Bhriain and Mark Kelly, and singer Eoghan Ó Ceannabhái­n.

Louis Theroux’s Altered States: Take My Baby, BBC Two In California, the majority of newborn adoptions are part of a multi-million dollar industry, with people paying up to $50,000 for a baby. Louis spends time with mothers as they prepare to hand over their babies.

John Torode’s Middle East, Good Food The UK-based Australian MasterChef host heads to Aswan in southern Egypt, a city where the Middle East and Africa collide and where the food of the local Nubian people has influenced everyday eating: the local speciality is a Nile Perch tagine.

First Dates, Channel 4 Cheeky charmer Billy tries to win over make-up artist Olivia. He uses every weapon in his arsenal, but will his fear of butter melt any chances of romance? Songwriter Kristina normally wins over girls by singing but admits that on a date she “can come across a bit desperate.”

Home Rescue, RTÉ One In Ballyfermo­t, Róisín, Peter and the crew come to the rescue of deli worker, Linda. With a tiny kitchen, a dining space dominated by two huge sofas and an extension that’s become a dumping ground, there’s no room left for family life.

The Reluctant Landlord, Sky One Natasha and the kids are convinced the pub is haunted when Romesh’s new CCTV shows a spooky shadow. Jayanthi brings in a Sri Lankan monk to cleanse the place. But the ghost isn’t the only revelation the cameras offer up.
