Santa’s coming to town

As Linda busies herself with The Vic’s Christmas grotto, Stuart is smug about wearing rival Mick’s Santa costume. Whitney tells Linda that Ollie is missing his dad, leaving her feeling wretched. Things deteriorat­e when Tina and Shirley tell her that Mick refused their visit. As Linda goes upstairs to hide her pain, Shirley applies more pressure, saying she needs to get a confession out of Stuart by the end of the week or they’re going to do it her way. A determined Linda continues with her risky plan and shares a kiss with Stuart. However, she is horri ed at her actions and ees the room. The next day, Stuart suggests that Linda nd a new Santa as he has too much respect for Mick. Scared that her plans are falling through, she manages to save face and begs him to stay involved in the festivitie­s. Will he agree?

At the Slater’s, Al e prepares for the perfect Christmas but Jean is unimpresse­d and warns him that they can’t go on playing happy families. However, Al e is determined to help with the baby and talks to Ian about a possible solution to the overcrowdi­ng issue. Later, Hayley discusses baby names with Al e. What will she choose?

Ti any takes Lily with her on a drug running job, not wanting to let manipulati­ve Evie down. However, things go pear-shaped when Ti any leaves Lily to face the drug dealer on her own. Ti any is terri ed when Evie calls her, asking where the drugs are and Lily admits to hiding them. She warns the youngster not to tell anyone about what happened but later feels disgusted with the monster she is becoming.
