Tim admits to Sophie that Duncan was hit by a van and he left him for dead. Sophie then goes to the hospital and sees May and making out she’s a neighbour, Sophie informs her Duncan has been transferred to another hospital, and o ers to drive her there. Sophie takes a photo of May and tells Tim she is their bargaining chip. He heads to the hospital and shows Duncan the picture of May, suggesting from now on Duncan will do as he’s told. However, Duncan sticks to his story and a desperate Tim tells Sophie to get May on the phone. But as Sophie takes the call, May escapes. Gina comes to the rescue, tracking May down and making a grab for her.
Meanwhile, the oncologist breaks the news to Sinead and Daniel that her cancer has grown; she needs radiotherapy immediately and therefore, they must deliver the baby today. When Beth, Kirk, Carla, Craig, Sarah and Izzy show up for an impromptu baby shower, Sinead is touched, but Daniel is overwhelmed and heads out. Sinead soon gives birth, but as the baby is whisked away to neonatal, Sinead passes out. Elsewhere, Nick presents Leanne with a diamond necklace. When she posts it on social media, Elsa confronts Nick, telling him the divorce is on hold as he clearly has more money than he lets on. Soon, Leanne asks Nick about Elsa’s visit, but he plays it down. Leanne is not convinced and remains suspicious, especially when Toyah adds fuel to the re by revealing that a woman keeps on phoning the at and asking for Nick.
Steve, Tracy and Amy come back from Tenerife. Tracy is worn out with Steve’s sexual demands, and she con des in Beth who muses that talking about babies immediately cools Kirk’s ardour. Mary is wary of the plan, however, and warns Tracy that her plan to put Steve o sex by suggesting they try for a baby could back re as he could easily warm to the idea.
Rana, on the other hand, con rms her divorce is now nalised, and Kate points out that they are now free to get married. As Kate ploughs on with their wedding plans, Rana reckons they should wait until they know the outcome of Johnny’s trial. Kate is adamant he will not be sent down.
