Go backstage on Dancing With The Stars

New RTÉjr show, RTÉjr Goes Dancing With The Stars, is a chance for kids to go behind the scenes on the dancing contest. Each Thursday on RTÉjr, presenters Darcy (11) and Darragh (13) get a perfect kids- eye-view of the show, with all of the angles younger viewers might be curious about: catch-ups with dancers, judges and presenters, a dip into Captain Sparkle’s workshop or having a go at hair and make-up.

In the next episode, the pair gets to meet comedian Fred Cooke, to hear about his training schedule, as well as learning some more dance moves, before they report on all the excitement from backstage on the show.

Who are Darcy & Darragh?

Darcy Mac Gabhann (11) is from Raheny in Dublin. She is in fifth class and loves speech and drama classes. Darcy has been in shows at the Helix as well as singing, dancing and acting in local shows. She also loves swimming and playing tennis and would love to be an actress when she grows up.

Darragh Malone (13) is from Clonsilla in Co Dublin. He has been in four pantos at the Gaiety, so he got the showbusiness bug young! Darragh is the voice of ‘Henry’ on RTÉjr’s animation series The Day Henry Met which is now in its fourth series. He is a big fan of musical theatre and also loves to play football, basketball and he plays piano. He would love to be an actor when he grows up.
