* The BBC has commissioned a new documentary looking at the extraordinary life, career and legacy of Oscar Wilde. The Importance of Being Oscar is an account of Wilde’s career up to his trial and tragic fall from grace. Extracts from The Importance of Being Earnest, The Picture of Dorian Gray and The Canterville Ghost will be adapted and performed by a top-notch cast including Freddie Fox, Claire Skinner, Anna Chancellor and James Fleet. Wilde enthusiasts and experts including Stephen Fry and Wilde’s grandson, Merlin Holland, will contribute accounts of how the Irish playwright’s own life directly informed his work.

Mrs Wilson, and in movies such as Colette and Lizzie. Now the Cork actress has signed up to be part of the second season of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s multi-awardwinning series, Fleabag. Also signing up for the second series is Dubliner Andrew Scott, who will be taking on the role of a priest.
