Clearing out the clutter

-

Carol does some not-quite-spring cleaning in the Station and decides to get rid of the clutter. Eagle-eyed Cass spots the chance to salvage something from Carol’s refuse and she agrees to let him help her clean, and keep anything she chucks out. Cass nds a bookcase and manages to sell it to Ray, giving him the idea of using the money to run workshops in the Men’s Shed. Carol is fuming when she nds out that Cass’s rummaging around has stopped deliveries from being made at the Station. Deegan tries to speak with Cass, but Carol is having none of it and chucks them both out. Carol’s anger doesn’t end there as she tells o Nora for not prioritising the Station, and also has a go at Cass. Deegan has had enough and loses his cool with everyone, to their shock. Cass grows concerned for Deegan’s mental state and tries to get him to open up, to no avail. However, everyone grows concerned when Deegan reveals the real reason for his sour mood – he found a lump. Eventually, he visits the clinic. However, it remains to be seen if the news will be good or bad.

Bela has a lot on his mind due to the fact he’s thinking of selling his house, where the Collins family now live. He feels con icted when he has lunch with them, but makes up his mind to sell up when he speaks with Paul. Sharon and Anto are obviously upset at the thought of losing their home, and Sharon goes to confront him. When Bela tells her that he needs to sell the place to help his daughter Suzanne, she’s less than understanding. Worse still, Lee accuses Bela of being a vulture, causing Bela to rescind his o er of rst refusal to buy the house. Eventually, Bela sees that the Collins family are vital members of the community and resolves to nd a way to help them. Elsewhere, Paul and Charlotte clash. Out of anger, Paul cancels the music night at Vinos. Oisin urges Charlotte to apologise, but instead she stokes Paul’s anger further when she threatens to turn Oisin against him. Paul comes up with a plan to get his own back and manages to land Oisin an interview for his dream job in London in an e ort to split Charlotte and Oisin up. Paul is smug when Oisin accepts the o er, but when Oisin learns the truth, he has a plan of his own up his sleeve.
