Concern for Clayton

Shona’s put in a di cult position when she nds a DVD on her doormat, which depicts her asleep. She goes to Clayton, who tells her it was the doing of the prison bullies. He tries to get her to go along with his plan so that they halt their campaign against her. Nick wants to know what’s going on. He follows her and spots her taking a parcel from two thugs and demands answers. Her worries aren’t over as she receives a phone call from the prison, saying that Clayton has been beaten up. She goes to the hospital to be with him, but when he tells her he wishes she had died instead of his dad, she is understand­ably upset. Meanwhile, David has managed to get some answers from Nick. He asks Shona why Clayton was beaten up, but she brushes it o so that he doesn’t suspect it was because of drugs.

It’s not all smooth sailing for Peter as he has to break the news to Abi that he is leaving. He’s landed a sailing gig in Kefalonia and will be going in a fortnight. Peter o ers to take her with him, much to Simon’s anger. Peter assures him that Abi means nothing to him, unaware that Seb overheard. When Abi nds out, she’s furious and goes on a drinking bender to quench her anger.

Elsewhere, Carla worries about Roy when she catches him sleepwalki­ng. He’s clearly distressed following his mother’s death and obsesses over the inscriptio­n on her ring, so Carla asks Brian to help decipher it.
