Making the great escape
Billy accompanies Shona to the funeral, but she suspects something’s up when Clayton and Macca share knowing glances with each other. It’s not long before they attack the guard and Clayton makes a break for it.
David is frightened for his kids’ well-being when he nds out that Clayton is AWOL, and is dealt a further blow when Shona is arrested. He tells Sarah that they should leave immediately and they start packing their things, while Nick o ers them refuge at his at. Before they leave, Shona returns, and a relieved David embraces her.
His mood worsens, however, when Shona says she’s worried about Clayton. David coldly tells her that if he nds Clayton before the police do, he’ll kill him. Shona is hurt and tells David that she will do anything she can to help the police track Clayton down, but when he nds out that she almost gave him drugs, he chucks her out.
Upset, she hops into her car – where Clayton is lying in wait. He orders her to drive to an abandoned warehouse. Later, he forces her to return to David’s and steal £3,0000 worth of cash. When she gives it to him, he ees but soon realises he’s surrounded by police. Furious, he grabs Shona and puts a knife to her back, threatening to kill her if he’s not given safe passage.
Elsewhere, Roy tries to persuade Carla to come clean to Abi. When she doesn’t, Roy is disappointed and deeply wounds Carla by asking her to nd somewhere else to live. Plus, Amy’s tangled web of lies starts to unravel as Steve and Tracy continue to make plans for the baby.
