Anxious Jean isolates herself from her family and tries to make her caravan homely. Back at home, Stacey is worried about her errant mother and wants to nd her for her upcoming appointmen­t. She enlists Shirley’s help but with no leads, Stacey reluctantl­y gives up. However, she lets Lily send her a photo her in fancy dress. At the caravan, a lonely Jean listens to Stacey’s voicemail and she’s touched when she hears Lily’s voice. She calls her daughter and assures her she is okay. Stacey pushes her mother for answers as to where she is but Jean doesn’t budge. Kat urges Stacey to go to the hospital to be with Jean for her appointmen­t but Stacey is dismayed when she doesn’t show up. Back home, Stacey has a light bulb moment and rushes o to retrieve her mum. However, Jean doesn’t want to be found.

Mel is desperate for a cash injection to pay Hunter’s legal fees and turns her attention to Walford East. She drips poison into Rainie’s ear about sisters Iqra and Habiba and Rainie tells Kathy to work with Mel. The sisters are concerned about their future in the restaurant. Habiba cheers herself up by inviting Adam for lunch, and Rainie prepares for Jack and Max’s return. However, she is gutted when she learns that Max will not be returning for a while. She is dealt a further blow when she nds a picture of Max with a new woman on Jack’s phone and learns that he is seeing someone else.

Mitch hopes that Karen will let him and Bailey move in, and Billy tries to get Ruby and Jay together.
