Cairde Sligo Arts Festival (CSAF) returns from July 6 to 13 with an extended programme of Irish and internatio­nal writers, musicians, artists and performers. Highlights include American genre-busting author Maggie Nelson ( The Argonauts) making her first ever Irish appearance; celebrated Australian classical guitarist Craig Ogden; a sublime double bill featuring two of the most distinctiv­e voices in Irish folk performers Lisa O’Neill and Seamus Fogarty; and the world premiere of Uprooted, a Cairde SAF collaborat­ion with Brokentalk­ers which explores the experience­s of new communitie­s in Ireland.

The four-star Sligo Southern Hotel and Leisure Centre is located in the heart of Sligo town, the only hotel in the town centre with a full leisure centre. A family-run traditiona­l hotel with exceptiona­l modern accommodat­ion and a feel of a bygone era, it provides a unique boutique experience for all patrons.
