Heather is causing more bother as rumours continue to circulate following her profession of love for Hughie. Seeing how the situation is a ecting Jackie, Hughie recruits Bob and Renee to help put an end to the gossip. e duo agrees, and tries to lay down the law with Heather. However, it clearly doesn’t have much impact on Heather, as she tells a horri ed Ellie that she and Hughie are in love. Jackie doesn’t react well, and Hughie is taken aback by her attitude. As the wedding plans continue, Heather is given a dire warning from Hughie about her behaviour. However, the ball is soon in Heather’s court as Doug lets a bombshell drop while chatting with her – Pete and Jackie shared a kiss. Heather wastes no time telling Jackie she knows her secret.
e big day arrives, and Heather tells Hughie to call the wedding o , before Renee calms her down. As Hughie and Jackie prepare to marry, Heather halts the ceremony. Jackie brushes o Heather’s accusations, but Heather doesn’t give up that easily and forms a plan. She forces Doug to come clean about what he saw, and Hughie confronts Jackie before Pete confesses. Pete is quick to say there are no feelings between him and Jackie, and Hughie decides to start over with Jackie. However, Jackie hides her misgivings as Heather revels in the chaos. Meanwhile, Carol has so ened towards Eoghan and is impressed about his ideas for the business, but an angry Leo confronts Eoghan about stealing his run. When Carol nds out, she is furious and Eoghan is quick to blame Leo. ere’s more drama when a rogue taxi driver poaches a fare from Leo, and Carol is shocked to discover it was Johnny Green. She tries to keep the identity from Eoghan, but he nds out and tries to take action, but Deegan stops him when he suspects Johnny of working with Carol. As Carol and Eoghan clash, Eoghan puts a plan in place to ensure Johnny Green gets his comeuppance. Elsewhere, Fiona and Jane butt horns when Jane makes a snide comment about Fiona’s parenting, and Jane is quick to use an unsuspecting Paul to wind her up. Fiona is quick to riposte by using Tommy to get her own back. Jane tells a frustrated Tommy that she’s willing to make an e ort with Paul and Fiona, but things get heated when they all have dinner together.
