Ian returns to Walford and comes face to face with his son, Bobby. Things are understandably awkward between them, but Ben suggests a drink to celebrate the reunion. However, the residents of the Square aren’t happy that Bobby is back. Things become heated and Bobby decides to leave, though he receives support from an unlikely source.
Ian nds Bobby with a bruised face and assumes it was Max’s doing. He calls the police but Max denies any wrongdoing, and Bobby reveals what actually happened. Things become more awkward when Ian discovers Max is now his business partner as Masood has gone.
Ian is angry that Kathy didn’t tell him about Masood but she’s quick to give him a reality check, and Ian realises he’s not being supportive of Bobby. He tries to help his son settle, but Bobby is dismissive. As Ian vows to keep his son close, Bobby secretly ees.
Meanwhile, the day of Hunter’s sentencing draws near. Mel turns her attention to Jack to distract herself, and seizes the opportunity to look through his bank statements when he leaves his o ce. On the day of Hunter’s sentencing, she spots Jack and the o cer who arrested Hunter and runs home to make a suspicious phone call and puts her plan to steal Jack’s money in motion. Meanwhile, Lola is de ated when she sees Jay and Ruby growing close. She announces that she and Lexi are moving back to Newcastle, and Ben hatches a plan to make sure she stays.
