Cristiano reaches the end of his tether with Will, who reveals that he faked the assault on Damien. Desperate to help Will deal with his issues, Cristiano suggests the pair see a therapist and is somewhat relieved when Will agrees it would be a good idea. However, their rst appointmen­t with therapist Maddie is anything but smoothsail­ing as Will initially refuses to attend, before bounding in just as Cristiano is beginning to pour his heart out. Eventually calming down, Will also begins to open up, and later, he and Cristiano return home happy to be making progress. However, Will is enraged when he realises that Maddie gave Cristiano her out-of-hours contact card and accuses him of betrayal.

Later, Will insists that he and Cristiano put on an act in front of others, but Damien is concerned to notice that something doesn’t seem right with Cristiano, who is insistent that he is just feeling under the weather. Mairead tells Darren that it is probably nothing to worry about and he should leave the pair alone, but he presses Cristiano for an explanatio­n. However, he and Will continue to keep schtum.

ings nally seem to be coming to a head between Erica and the ever-lovelorn Doug as the pair pretend to be a couple at a wedding planner appointmen­t. As Doug continues to pine for the woman he can’t have, Wayne tells him he should either make his move or withdraw from Erica’s life. As Erica and Darragh share cross words over the progress being made in their wedding plans, Doug decides on the former course of action and explains to Erica that he nds it too di cult to be just friends. Despite the pair having shared a kiss in the past, his feelings go unrequited, and it seems Doug must nd a way to move forward without her.

ere’s an awkward moment in store when Carol bumps into Hayley and Yates, whose relationsh­ip is developing at quite some pace. e pair reveal that they are seeing each other, which takes Carol by surprise and elicits some concern from Sharon. Carol decides she has had enough of the couple walking on eggshells around her and tells them it is time they were upfront about things. Putting their issues to one side, all four raise a glass in Robbie’s memory.
