Modern Love

Amazon, from October 18 Executive producer John Carney’s eight-part romantic anthology, adapted from the acclaimed New York Times column and inspired by true stories, is a look at love in all its many guises and circumstances, from unrequited to unexpected, from dates going wrong to opposites attracting. The series features a glitzy ensemble cast including Andrew Scott (of Fleabag ‘hot priest’ fame), Anne Hathaway, Dev Patel, Tina Fey (above) and John Slattery. And there is also Ed Sheeran in what is being described as his ‘most cringeworthy cameo role to date’ (even more so than Game of Thrones). And Catastrophe’s Sharon Horgan directs an episode.
