Winter Jasminum

Jasminum nudiflorum

-

I was attracted to it in our local garden centre. Its pretty yellow flowers caught my eye. Planted in the right place, it can flower from November to the end of April the following year and always gives a fabulous display.

It is sad it has no fragrance but it makes up for that by giving a glorious winter golden yellow colourful display. When I was buying I wanted to find out more so I inquired and found out to position it in a sunny place with good fertile soil.

It is not really a climber or a rambler but more of a natural shrub and if left alone with a little support from trellis or wire can reach a height of approximately 10 feet.

And finally, I was advised, that when finished flowering it was the best time to cut it back to strong buds. It is sitting in the garden and looking splendid.
